I stay FLY.
Had to share this video thought it was well done.
It reminded me of one of my favorite quotes:
"How can I keep my feet on the ground when I was born to fly"

Outside the box.
Okay so my recent trip to sydney with the fam was a crazy ill weekend and def worth the $$$.
I wanted to share some of my experiences and philosophies regarding the weekend, first of all I wanted to share how people reacted to our decision of not entering any of the competitions and just wanting to cypher/dance, party and chill.
Mad people hit me and others up asking if we were entering the competitions, upon hearing our no we aren't a look of confusion and disbelief was our response, I think the idea of just cyphering and having a good time dumb founded some people.
I myself do enjoy competitions from time to time, but as I grow through this dance I have learnt that I don't have to shit that doesn't make my happy in this dance, Yes I do enjoy to test myself in a competition environment every now and then and do believe it is a integral part of this art form, but I also believe that it is not be all end all, I dance because I love what I get out of it that feeling, that connection and sense of belonging when I touch the floor a lot of the time competitions do not cater to these needs, whether it be a major wack vibe or wack dj's etc In a cypher you can throw down when you start feeling it and if the music moves you, in a competition you have to go out when its your turn thus dictating what you need to do, if its your turn on a crap break or something that doesn't move you how are you suppose to 1: best express yourself and 2: preform to the best of your abilities?
Competitions are always about ticking boxes(in general) of course depending on how you get judged.
So we chose to be free and just go to the jams and catch wreck in cyphers/circles and have fun with like minded individuals.
We got to wake up when we chose, get to the jam whenever we saw fit and do whatever we wanted because we were free and not being dictated by outsiders logic, we purely had fun and did what we enjoy.
Satisfying? YES!
Why do you dance?
